NECO Registration Portal 2026/2027: Form, Fee, & Date
The 2026 NECO SSCE Internal registration is officially active from 19th January to 25th May 2026, with late registration available until 29 May 2026. The fee is ₦30,000, covering registration, four-figure tables, and a photo album. Registration is strictly online via the NECO portal.
The 2026 NECO SSCE (Internal) NECO Registration Portal 2026/2027 is accessible via ssceinternal.neco.gov.ng for schools to register candidates. Normal registration closes on Monday, May 25th, 2026, and late registration ends on Friday, May 29th, 2026, with no extensions. The registration fee is ₦30,000 with additional costs for photo albums and late registration.
The National Examinations Council (NECO) is pleased to announce that the registration for the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (Internal) has commenced.
Registration Requirements

A passport-size photograph is required for the registration. The candidate’s passport-size photograph should NOT be more than SIX MONTHS old and must have a white background.
A System Camera can also be used to snap a passport-size photograph at the point of registration, as the case may be.
- Biometric fingerprints will be captured during the offline registration of each candidate.
- Candidates should note that there will be biometric verification during the conduct of the examination.
- Candidates found to have mismatched fingerprints at the point of verification are deemed impersonators and would be sanctioned according to extant laws.
NECO Registration Portal Login 2026 – www.neco.gov.ng
The NECO Registration Portal Login 2026 is the official platform by the National Examinations Council for registering SSCE and other exams. It allows users to create accounts, upload candidate details, capture biometrics, and make secure payments.
By logging in at www.neco.gov.ng, candidates and schools can ensure accurate data submission and verification. The portal reduces errors, prevents duplicates, and simplifies the registration process.
It supports SSCE Internal, SSCE External, BECE, and other NECO exams, providing all essential tools in one place for both administrators and candidates to complete registration smoothly.
Registration Fee
The registration fee is Seventeen Thousand Eight Hundred Naira (₦17,800.00), and the four-figure table is five hundred naira (₦500.00) only per copy. The Waterproof Certificate Jacket Folder is two thousand naira (2,000) per candidate.
Note that stamp duty, service, and Remita charges apply.
Mode of Payment
Candidates or registration points (cyber cafes) are to visit http://www.neco.gov.ng and create an account using either their emails or phone numbers, activate the funds, and pay into the NECO TSA through five payment options.

Registration Period
Registration runs from 19th January to 25th May 2026, with late registration available until 29 May 2026. Late registration (14–19 November) attracts an additional ₦2,000 fee. Walk-in registration costs ₦28,000 per candidate.
Attestation/Photo Cards & Exam Timetable 2026
On completion of the registration process, each candidate must obtain the following from the cybercafe.
- Timetable for the examination and
- At least one (1) clear copy of the NECO Photo card, which would be used to admit the candidate into the Examination Hall. (Candidates should note that Passport-size photographs on the Photo cards that are not clear will NOT be accepted in the Examination Hall).
- The Referee’s Attestation section of the Photo card should be SIGNED AND STAMPED by any of the following:
- The Principal of a recognized secondary school.
- An ordained clergyman or a Chief Imam.
- A commissioned officer of the Nigerian Armed Forces or the police not below the rank of Captain or its equivalent.
- A senior civil servant nocaptain GL. 14.
- A legal practitioner of not less than ten years’ experience.
Candidates are no longer required to submit their attestation/photo cards at the NECO state office for stamping.

General Information
- Fees are non-refundable once paid.
- Walk-in candidates can register up to 6 hours before their exam.
- Exam centres cannot be changed after upload.
- Follow official registration guidelines and use reputable cybercafés; errors are the candidate’s responsibility.
- Cross-check all details before upload; only one correction chance is allowed.
- Corrections are valid for 2 weeks after upload:
- No full name change allowed.
- Only one correction (name or passport) plus other data.
- An uploaded passport photo will appear on certificates.
- Candidates will be informed about exam center status before the exam.
- No gadgets (phones, smart devices, programmable calculators) or smoking allowed.
- Dress in mufti only; no weapons allowed.
- Multiple registrations lead to cancellation of results.
- No late entry after the exam has started.
